ABOUT

About the Food Security & Climate Change Inspector

The main objective of the Inspector is to offer access to the inputs and outputs of the "Food Security and Climate Change" study, one of twelve studies within AGEDI's "Local, National, and Regional Climate Change (LNRCC) Programme.

The study assessed the vulnerability of the UAE to food security risks associated with climate change, both at the macro level (i.e., bilateral food trade) and micro level (i.e., household food budgets). A research team led by Bill Dougherty from the Climate Change Research Group carried out the study.

Two options are offered: a "SIMPLE" version which consists of essential output databases and a "MODEL" version which consists of a test version of a user-friendly modeling tool to explore the outputs of the study.

For a discussion of the underlying methodology, models, data sources, and key assumptions, please see the accompanying technical reports which are accessible from the Review Background portion of the main Health Co-benefits page.
